Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” has actually hit $185 million worldwide and will keep going past Thanksgiving, sources tell me.
“It’s conceivable that it’s on its way to $250 million,” says a source.
So it’s all good, with the companion album from Sony Music expected to hit the 500,000 mark.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, unbeknownst to anyone, Michael’s kids got some R & R and fun time. They went to the Lakers game on Friday night with AEG’s Randy Phillips, nanny Grace Rwaramba (yes, she’s baaack!), and two of Tito Jackson’s kids.
Prince, Paris, and Blanket got to see Kobe Bryant score 41 points in the Lakers win, and no one bothered them. I’m told they also spent some time at the pinball arcade next to the Staples Center. How did they get away with it? “They used AEG security instead of the Jacksons,” a source tells me. “And they wore normal clothes.” Nice.
Now — as far as the kids seeing “This Is It“– they have not seen the movie yet. One attempt was made to bring them to a theater, but paparazzi caught on. The field trip was aborted.
And the kids’ status: “They seem to be in good shape,” says a source. Still, this week, as I reported a few days ago — Debbie Rowe will ask the family court to enforce her custody/visitation agreement.

So Randy Phillips better keep providing the children with what I guess is more discreet security.
He should have canceled O2 rehearsals when he understood Jackson was in bad shape and not just taken a chance it would work out, instead of investigating the situation thoroughly. Nothing can make it up to the children, but I hope he and AEG do whatever they can anyway.

How did they get away with it? “They used AEG security instead of the Jacksons”. Did you mean “Jackson’s” as in, their security team or “the Jacksons” as in, the family? That little swipe meant to suggest that the kids haven’t been able to gallivant without the inept efforts of the Jacksons to protect them. They’ve left Hayvenhurst plenty without being bothered, so why the judgement?
I’m not an apologist for the family, but the bias on this site is so transparent.

I don’t think this story is true the MJ trio with Randy Philips whats going on. Why would the Jackson allow this, i mean didn’t KJ and other boycotted this is movie because they felt it was part of the reason MJ died.
About the security issue on Sunday evening Janet took all the children shopping for toys and stuff. They were given IVP treatment, the store was close down so that Janet and the children could shop freely without the paps around

You guys need to stop accusing Randy Phillips of MJ’s death. Michael Jackson was a 50-year old man capable of making his own decisions. Randy was not his babysitter or parent. If you want to blame someone, blame the kid that falsely accused Michael about 4 or 5 years ago, Martin Bashir, and Dr. Murray.

Whenever the kids went out with Randy’s kids the picture ended up on the internet.
I’m glad they are having fun. I have had the experience of unexpectedly losing a very close family member and, although it was hard, I survived. I survived because there was a minimum of guilt involved. I knew I had been loved and I knew I had loved back in a good, positive, healthy way.
What you see in these children is a deep confidence in the love they received from their father and the knowledge that the love they returned to him was true.

Question: Did Sony pay $60 million for this movie or for all 80-100 hrs of AEG footage? I suppose with this showing, if it’s the latter, Sony will be milking the “lost footage” for a loooooong time.

Very interesting comments. This is just to show Michael Jackson was and still is a GLOBAL SUPERSTAR. So many posts. He, definitely, was the ultimate entertainer with so many fans all over the world. I love MICHAEL JACKSON. I read in a newspaper in canada that as for the movie, anything over $130 million made, 90% goes to Kathleen, with 10% to AEG. This was what I read somewhere in the newspaper.

You know what Roger … you are such as Azz as usual … Grace never left, she as always been there and there has been plenty of evidence over the last several mths to prove that which you yourself have not reported on. And as far as hinting that they wore normal clothes get a grip they were wearing them when their dad was alive … weeks before his dead they were shown fully with their dad to the public on TMZ’s website. I wish you and everyone else would stop acting like the man didn’t unveil them prior to his dead and that they were wearing weird clothing prior to it as well. Get a grip please with your fake exclusives. And I stand by my opinion that Debbie needs to stay away for Blanket’s sake. Samurai: Grace was fired – or “terminated”, as she stated that she was told in a clip you can find on Youtube. She was in Europe when MJ died. She had been fired before and she said it was hurtful.
But yes, the children were unveiled in his company before MJ passed, and also earlier when they went out with others than him.
As for DR, I don’t like calling any human being “just a surrogate”. We don’t know who Blanket’s mother is, or if she knows who she gave her baby to, or if a lot of people but us know everything. The public is not exactly in the midst of things.

I’m glad the children got to go to the game. It’s a life their father never got to experience. Whoever took them and watched over them was decided by family so don’t judge a persons judement or character if you’ve never walked in their shoes.

I wasn’t aware Michael and Randy Phillips were such good friends,what is he doing out with Michael’s kids? As for Grace,Michael fired her once for a reason.She also did an interview with Daphne Barak that mysteriously disappeared off the Internet.This was after Grace and Rebbie supposedly got into it right after Michael’s death,then all of a sudden she is back with the Jacksons again,seems a bit odd to me.I am not sure I trust this lady!!
