When audiences finally see “This Is It” next week, they will also have a lump in the throat moment at the end: a dedication of the movie to Michael’s kids, Prince, Paris, and Blanket.
I’m told the decision was made to dedicate the film that way by Jackson’s executors, John Branca and John McClain. They are also the film’s executive producers.
Also, the Jackson brothers who added vocals to Michael’s Paul Anka song, “This Is It,” get credit as back up singers.
Sony is also releasing a companion album to the movie next Tuesday. But it won’t contain any of the live music played during rehearsals in the film. Instead, it’s an album “inspired by the film.” In other words: it will contain the known studio recordings of songs included in the movie like “Human Nature” and “Billie Jean.” Fans who expected a true “live” album from Jackson may be a tad disappointed. The album does include the title song, however. That’s something!
Meantime, here’s the latest clip from the movie. Jackson is thin, no question. But he’s also in charge, giving instructions on how to perform his songs to director Kenny Ortega. And his voice sounds perfectly Michael, lovely and all there.
And flash: Jackson’s kids will finally see the movie either today or on Saturday, sources tell me. The producers of the film have been offering tickets to the family for the last couple of weeks, but there had been no response. Now, they say, Prince and Paris saw “This Is It” trailed on TV and asked when they were going to see the movie. It’s unclear who else from the family will see it with them.

Well, The Jacksons claim the kids watch Dancing with the stars with their grandmother, so I am sure they have seen trailers for the movie.
I am glad they will get a chance to see their dad at work. MJ would be proud.
My family & I are counting the days until the movie opens.

Katherine was at Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday and gave a short interview to Access Hollywood. She said that it’s still too soon for her to see it but may see it at a later time. I hope the kids are allowed to see it.
P.S. TMZ is reporting that Katherine has fired her probate lawyers. Londell McMillan who is not a probate lawyer but has been working with her probate lawyers says he’s unsure if he’s still her general counsel. It sounds like he’s been axed too.

“Michael’s Paul Anka song?”
Why this snide remark? It’s a song that Michael AND Paul Anka wrote.
No matter what you write, you can’t help trying to be ugly toward Michael and degrade. The fact that he’s dead makes it very strange and heartless.
I wish these “sources” would stop talking to tabloids. Not that I believe them. The only thing I believe is what I see and hear for myself. Katherine expressed her feelings after DWTS and that is all I take as valid fact. These “sources” can go rot some place. They and the stalking paps who caused an accident yesterday while stalking the kids.
I know Michael is thin in the movie but I saw Derek Hough on DWTS the other night as he is super thin. But I guess that’s part of being a dancer. Michael said he would lose at least 5 pounds each performance because he perspired so much. I think that’s why he told Kai Chef that he wanted her make sure he ate healthy.

It’s reported that Michael weighed 136 lbs upon his death. If you look at his mug shot, his weight is listed at 120 lbs. So he weighed 16 lbs more that he did then.

I can’t believe the film isn’t dedicated to Jermaine…after all, he’d be the first to tell you that he was Michael’s “backbone”. When will Jermaine and Randy get the respect that Michael owes them?

Update
Katherine has hired Adam Streisand from the high-powered law firm of Loeb & Loeb.
Steisand is Barbra’s cousin.

I think the kids did see their dad at work…there was pic of prince, paris, MJ and kenny ortega, taken in May, and MJ was coming from rehearsal. The kids weren’t even wearing masks until they noticed the paps.

“And his voice sounds perfectly Michael, lovely and all there.” ..I couldn’t agree more.
I’m looking forward to the movie, but even watching the clip makes me sad to know that more will never be. But I hope this movie will seal his great legacy once and for all.

I hope those children get to see their dad, it still doesn’t seem real he is gone.

I will always remember. My mother used to play his music all the time.

“the Jackson brothers who added vocals to Michael’s Paul Anka song, “This Is It,””
WTF with you, man? When you will be better informed?????? Michael Jackson AND Paul Anka’s song : 50-50 man! Try to find a better spurce, so that your arcticles will be more readable.
Stop this fuckin joke against a DEAD person whom cannot defend himself, shitty cur!
If MJ fans become too rabid, as you defined them, please mind your ass, because there is already too much to stand for these rabid fans: they lost their beloved artist and person because of a killer, so remember that you and your media collegues were his killer too, the same as Murray. Don’t wake the sleeping dog up, or it will bite you.

The children should have had the first right to see their father before any of the Jackson’s plied in to see it. They are not a side thought, their father wanted them to see him work and be proud. His fans will foprever keep him and them in their hearts.
Still Lovehimmore
