The film about Michael Jackson’s tour rehearsals, “This Is It,” is being kept fairly secret right up until its opening.
“This Is It” is set to open on Wednesday, October 28th, released into theaters for two weeks by Sony. But so far no advance screenings have been scheduled other than one for the cast and crew, in Los Angeles, on Monday the 26th. The location is being kept hush-hush, too.
One screening for the Jackson family was cancelled, I am told, when Michael’s brother Randy insisted on bringing a guest. Sony said no, and the screening proceeded without any family members.
Many showings of “This Is It” have already sold out in advance. Sony is readying a CD soundtrack which will be released the same week, to capitalize on the film’s popularity.
A source who’s been working on “This Is It” told me yesterday: “The tragedy is, the film is great. The public is finally going to appreciate Michael Jackson, and it’s too late.”
Meantime, the book of Michael Jackson taped interviews, by Shmuley Boteach, has not been much of a hit. It’s listed around number 332 on amazon.com. The average customer review is 2 out of 5 stars.

Looking forward to seeing the movie. My whole family is. even my 64 year old dad, who hasn’t been to the movies in years has tickets. We love MJ.
Randy Jackson should stop his foolishness!! Enough already. Now that MJ is dead and see how his family is acting like a bunch of desperate wolves, I understand him a lot better, and wonder how he survived that long. they are all like a bunch of parasites that can’t be shaken off (except Janet, Rebbie, Jackie & MJ3 of course).
As for the fake rabbi, MJ fan clubs around the world are boycotting his trash book. He is a profiteering jackass. A leech, like the rest of them. MJ would be so mad that his private conversations were released for public consumption.
Now we will move on to Diane dimond, that witch on entertainment tonight. An MJ foe passing herself like an expert. She will soon feel the wrath of MJ’s fans, both her & ET.

Calm down people, it’s not cool to threaten people, especially in a public place like this.LOL
Looking forward to the movie and glad they’re putting so much effort into protecting it from pirates. Or maybe they’re protecting it from reviewers? I wonder how good it will actually be. Perhaps they don’t want bad reviews before release day? One thing’s for sure, I’ll be there on 30th October to see for myself.

“The public is finally going to appreciate Michael Jackson, and it’s too late.”Is this statement about you too, Roger?I remember the way you treated him when he was alive.Don’t try to act like you care now.I won’t buy it.You are in the same league with Bashir, Nancy Grace, Diane Diamond and the rest.

It’s a shame none of these news shows vet people before they interview them. Shmuley has said that he parted ways with Michael because he couldn’t stand by and watch him self destruct. Not one interviewer seem to have any knowledge of the trouble with Schmuley’s charity or the circumstances under which Oxford dumped him.
I wonder if Randy’s guest was a certain attorney who is looking for trouble.

Can wait to see this-is-it … already have my ticket and I am glad that Shmuley’s book is at the bottom of the pile … he is a dirty person who calls himself a friend of Michael.
Reine I agree about Diane Dimond but there is also Gloria Alright and many others who needs their careers to be burn.

Right now 347. Read reader reviews here: http://www.amazon.com/Michael-Jackson-Tapes-Intimate-Conversation/dp/1593156022/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1254933449&sr=1-1
From opinions: Schmuley is highly judgemental about Jackson. It’s disgusting that he is releasing private tapes in the first place, then when he does he won’t let them speak for themselves.

LOL that was funny!

Wait, is’nt the advanced screening being held on the 27th?…..check your sources again….

I’m looking forward to seeing This is it. It truly is Michael Jackson in a way we’ve never seen him before. As far as that Rabbi is concerned, I find him to be very judgement and hypocritical. He makes his way around all the TV networks asking people not to judge Michael Jackson, and yet, in his book, he’s throwing judgements left and right. According to him, Michael Jackson was “self-absorbed” which I find hard to believe considering all of Michael Jackson’s closest friends say he’s the opposite. I don’t think the Rabbi knows him as well as he thinks he does.

I think roger’s referring to advance screenings for industry people, such as reviewers etc. Not allowing them to see the film in advance is a bad sign IMO.

Reine, I agree with you wholeheartedly! I will be going out to LA for the premier on the 27th. Believe me,if I should see Diane Dimond, I am going to tell her how I really feel that she made her living off of destroying Michael. He was such a good and gentle soul that cared for the needy of the world. He deserved so much better from the media. All of the media are guilty — just as much as Dr. Murray. Love you more, Michael!

Roger the Randy Jackson story sound trivial and over exaggerated-don’t start dumping on the Jackson brothers as enemy number one now that the new media hasassist Dr.Murray and others to kill MJ. Roger F. you just start writing more positively about MJ after you left FOX-even now you have your moments. Thank God MJ had his brothers have always been able to resolve any differences they may have experienced because most of all they are family first-No one can totally destroy a family loves. Please try to put yourself in the Jackson brother position now-MJ was not the baby boy but Randy but everyone in the family is centered around MJ because the recognize that he is special and that God has given them a pecious gift in MJ being there brother. MJ & His brother spent more time together than anyone -ultimately they loved him and he loved them. If ou look at how those three beautiful children held onto their aunts and uncles on that stage as well as their grandparents at the memorial-it was not fake because kids can’t fake it-what you saw was relationship of years in the making in a family. Randy and Tito’s sons were working for MJ on different aspects of his company-when he died.Prince was holding on to Randy at one point in a huge embrace for dear life-same with Jackie, Marlon, and Janet. Prince, Paris, and even little Blanket had a clear understanding on that memorial date that the only parent they knew -their Father was dead in heaven and that those 8 people on that stage were MJ’s sisters, brothers, (friends, closest entertainment associates and employees) and, grandparents sittind down front -and that they were connected to these individuals for life and tht their father had told them many times to trust these family members unconditionally and that they would never allow anything to happen to them if something happen to him. Michael was a loving parent and he prepared these children for life because he gave them roles to play in the home when he was alive; and, can see the determination in Prince’s and Paris’s eyes to carry forth the plan given to them by their father and uphold his name and legacy!
I wish you all would give MJ’s brothers a break; they loved him and I would rather see them taking care of his legacy and speaking for him than folks who 3 months ago hated him to his death. MJ is only getting some response of civility from the media because they are making a mint off of him by reporting stories that are a half-witted and off-handed/ kind of nice. They know otherwise us MJ Fans will boycott and complain all the way to the top!You see as usual, they underestimated MJ’s fan base until now- we have power and we have been exercising our buying power muscle diligently and deliberately. We will not buy or support anyone that bash MJ or lie on him now that he is deceased.
Apology if this is long but it need to be said-give these folks a break, it will take all of these sisters and brothers working together with Mrs.Jackson to raise these kids in the way MJ was doing- It will take this village to do what MJ did alone with the help of some nannies and tudors.

I agree with all of you that it is time to take Dianne Diamond down on ET passing herself off as a credible anchor and reporter; and that trashy ambulance chasing Gloria Allred. Allred need to be disbarred!
